Julia Ann Shattuck Ridge (1927-2010)
Julia's life was a tapestry of love, service, and community engagement. A devoted wife, mother, and friend, she touched the lives of many through her roles as a secretary, foster grandparent, and active member of various community organizations. Her vibrant spirit and boundless generosity continue to inspire us to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Roland Perry Ridge (1919-1985)
Roland's commitment to education and selfless service was unparalleled. A decorated World War II veteran, he went on to become a lifelong Agricultural Teacher. His dedication to his students, community, and the welfare of those around him left an indelible mark. The warmth of his heart, as evidenced by his generosity and willingness to help others, serves as a guiding light for the foundation's mission.
The Perry & Julia Ridge Foundation is rooted in the belief that education and support for veterans, students, & educators are cornerstones of vibrant, thriving communities, especially in rural America. We aim to honor the enduring legacies of Julia and Perry Ridge by:
